Director Community Operations
Develop and lead strategy and programs that drive community awareness for Developer Productivity Engineering and Develocity (the commercial product).

• Developed the Advocacy strategy for external event participation and content creation and hired the Developer Relations team.
• Worked with the Field CTO to define advocacy team operations, budget, and process.
• Conceived and then executed key elements of the Advocacy Team's Gradle/Maven Engagement Strategy.
• Initiated a partnership between Gradle and the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) to make Develocity available to over 300 Open Source initiatives and 9,000 committers.
• Developed and implemented a strategy for adopting the company-wide gamified community platform, Influitive, to drive community engagement and contributions. Grew the Influitive platform to over 200% of target by implementing and managing the platform, developing the content and rewards strategy, and designing and sourcing the rewards.
• Worked with Customer Success to build and engage external customer communities within Influitive.
• Developed the strategy for an external Developer Productivity community to act as advocates for Developer Productivity Engineering, the Develocity product, and brand ambassadors for Gradle.
• Designed all Gradle developer engagement swag.

inBloom, Inc. Atlanta, GA October 2013 – September 2014
Open Source Community Manager
inBloom is an independent non-profit organization, funded with initial philanthropic support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Carnegie Corporation of New York, whose mission is to provide a valuable resource to teachers, students, and families, to improve K-12 public education. This was a Java-based PaaS hosted on AWS and entirely available on GitHub.

• Developer relations and evangelism within the open source community (OEMs, Developers, Code Repositories, Industry Standards Organizations, and Conferences).
• Involved and represented inBloom as a member of the Open Source Initiative.
• Built strategic partnerships with Open Source groups at a number of software companies, including, Pivotal, Twitter, PayPal, Amazon, Netflix, and Constant Contact.
• Community moderator and POC on all developer and open source forums. Managed documentation flows/commits, planning, and strategy for GitHub and JIRA.
• Edited, maintained and developed content for developer.inbloom.org and community resources on the TLD.

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program began in 1983 with a $50 million federal appropriation. The program was created by Congress to help meet the needs of hungry and homeless people throughout the United States and its territories by allocating federal funds to provide food and shelter.
